Scenario 1:
Uncle : so you've gotten back your results? me : urrmm.. y-y-yaah. Uncle : so what did you get? me : urrmmm... 9# Uncle : *stares* is that it? 9# only? me : *crumbles*
xx
Scenario 2: Uncle : what course are you taking? me : urrmm.. architecture. Uncle : what?!? why don't you take law! me : i don't know. not interested? (english sucks, slow reader, low attention span, too boring...etc...) Uncle : Architecture has no future! can't find job! commerce also better! me : *crumbles* xx my self esteem meter approached negative. so i did some research:
(retrieved from an interview with a current melb uni student taking up architectural studies) What were the reasons behind choosing this course? This course was structured in exactly the way I viewed Architecture to be taught. The course structure is in my opinion the most pragmatic approach taken to gain successful employment and success in the field. Finally, I had always wanted to study in an academic environment such as the University of Melbourne , because this is where I knew I would thrive. (hah! shuuree you do.)
and no. it didn't help. i'm having second thoughts now. and i should make up my mind like REALLY fast. *sulks*
